SYMPTOMS




There are two major problems that will cause symptoms of Cirrhosis,which are

  • failure of the functions of liver cells and
  • distortion of the liver caused by scarring

People with Cirrhosis may experience the following symptoms in the early stage:

  • fatigue(tiredness) or even exhaustion
  • loss of appetite leading to weight loss
  • nausea
  • edema
  • bruise/bleed
Later stage may develop followiing symptoms:

Jaundice
Jaundice means yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes.It may happen caused by the buildup of bile pigment that is passed by the liver into the intestine.

Itchy skin
Some people with cirrhosis experience intense itching due to bile products that are deposited in the skin.

Gallstones
Gallstones always form persons with cirrhosis because not enough bile reaches the gallbladder.

Personality changes or coma
The liver of a person with cirrhosis has trouble removing toxins, which may build up in the blood. These toxins can dull metal function and lead to personality changes or even coma.Early signs of toxin accumulation in the brain may include neglect of personal appearance,unresponsiveness,forgetfulness,trouble concentrating, or changes in sleeping habits.
